Advisory Board

The Robogals Global Advisory Board advises the executive team on a wide range of areas. The Advisory Board is effectively a trial run for the future Board of Directors, and the Board will be elevated to that status by the end of 2012 at the latest. The interim period will allow us to observe, evaluate and adjust how the Board is constituted, how the Board is elected and how the board meetings are conducted. This is part of Robogals' effort to create a sustainable long-term organisational structure by the end of 2012.

As our board members are quite geographically dispersed, the board meets with some members present in person with others joining via phone conference. There are five board meetings scheduled for 2012: in April, July, August, September and December, with these times usually on the same day as a Robogals event such as a supporters' luncheon or the annual conference (SINE), thus increasing the likelihood of more board members traveling to be there in person.

The current board members are:

  • Dr. Bronwyn Evans (chair), Senior Vice President, Quality and Regulatory, Cochlear
  • Prof. Jamie Evans, Associate Dean (Education), Melbourne School of Engineering
  • Bruce Howard, Councillor, Engineers Australia (serving on the board in a personal capacity pending approval from EA)
  • Victoria Lennox, Founder and Chair, NACUE
  • Andrea Boyle, professional HR manager (serving on the board in a personal capacity)
  • Jessica Wrigley, Drilling Engineer, Santos

Plus the following ex officio members:

  • Marita Cheng, Founder & Executive Director, Robogals Global
  • Mark Parncutt (board secretary), Operations Director, Robogals Global
  • Neeshima Rao, Regional Director, Robogals Asia Pacific
  • Emma Crichton, Regional Director, Robogals UK & Europe
